Maintenance Helper

Job Summary

This role supports maintenance teams by helping technicians and supervisors with preventive, corrective, and emergency work across building systems. The position focuses on assisting with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil, fire and life safety, and other facility services while also managing materials, keeping workspaces orderly, and helping ensure that tasks are completed safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Support technicians while they perform repair and maintenance tasks.
• Transport tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials to the required work area.
• Help prepare work sites by cleaning and organizing the area before and after tasks.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and shifting materials as needed.
• Carry out basic maintenance support work under close supervision.
• Always follow safety rules and wear the required personal protective equipment.
• Keep plant rooms, workshops, and service areas clean and well maintained.

Requirements

• Secondary school education or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in facilities upkeep, construction, or a similar environment.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and handling materials manually.
• Should have a basic awareness of workplace safety practices.
