Key Maintenance Areas
The technician will work across production equipment, electrical systems, utility assets, and facility support equipment. The role covers preventive care, fault diagnosis, repairs, inspections, and compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintain heavy machinery and production equipment.
- Carry out servicing and fault-finding on CNC machines, including alignment, axis calibration, cooling system checks, and hydraulic system repairs.
- Inspect and support air compressors and blowers by managing oil, filters, drive belts, valves, and safety devices.
- Service MIG and TIG welding equipment, including cable connections, wire-feed systems, gas regulation, fans, and heat sinks.
- Inspect overhead cranes, hoists, ropes, switches, overload protection devices, and pendant controls, while supporting statutory load testing.
- Maintain diesel generator sets through daily checks, load-bank testing, ATS verification, and inspection of batteries, exhaust, and cooling systems.
- Perform electrical infrastructure maintenance such as thermography, inspection of cable routes and joints, tightening terminations, and correcting overheated connections.
- Look after HVAC and exhaust systems by cleaning filters and coils, checking belts and pulleys, and monitoring refrigerant performance.
- Maintain desert water coolers by sanitizing tanks, removing scale, and replacing float valves when required.
- Handle plumbing and drainage problems, including blockages, damaged piping, seals, fittings, water tanks, pumps, and pressure vessels.
- Support forklift maintenance through safety checks, component inspections, and compliance with OSHA and Saudi standards.
- Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, decommissioning, and reliability improvement activities.
Safety, Maintenance Systems, and Inventory
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and local safety rules.
- Obtain Permits to Work before carrying out high-risk tasks.
- Report unsafe conditions, near-misses, and maintenance incidents promptly.
- Use the correct PPE and keep the work area safe and orderly.
- Carry out planned maintenance using the CMMS and complete checklists with accurate observations.
- Escalate delayed or resource-blocked PM tasks when necessary.
- Track spare parts, raise material requests, perform cycle counts, and care for personal tools.
Experience and Fit
The employer is looking for someone with direct, practical industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a heavy facility or manufacturing environment. Prior exposure to switchgear or low-voltage electrical panel manufacturing is required.
