About the Role

Allegiant is seeking a Manager, Stations Training to lead and enhance its Stations Training programs. This pivotal role involves overseeing curriculum development, instructional design, and the overall training delivery process to ensure operational consistency, regulatory adherence, safety, and optimal frontline performance across the entire Allegiant network. The Manager will direct the daily operations of the Stations Training department, guiding a team that includes a Supervisor, Corporate Trainers, Instructional Designers, and Curriculum Developers. Collaboration with operational leaders, Stations Standards, Allegiant University, Safety, and other key stakeholders is essential to ensure training is operationally relevant, learner-centric, scalable, and compliant with company and regulatory mandates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the operational execution, continuous improvement, and oversight of all Stations Training Programs, encompassing initial, recurrent, supplemental, remedial, leadership, and role-specific training initiatives.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Supervisor, Stations Training, Corporate Trainers, Instructional Designers, and Curriculum Developers, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and effective execution.
  • Govern the development, maintenance, and implementation of Stations Training curriculum and instructional content, ensuring it aligns with operational procedures, policy updates, regulatory mandates, and frontline operational needs.
  • Collaborate with Stations Standards, Allegiant University, Safety, operational leadership, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and other relevant parties to identify training requirements and deploy effective learning solutions.
  • Establish team priorities, manage timelines, coordinate workflows, and allocate resources for training development, curriculum projects, instructional design efforts, and operational training support.
  • Guarantee that all training programs, instructional materials, and delivery methodologies comply with company policies, FAA, TSA, DOT, IOSA/IATA, and other pertinent regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate and champion Safety Management System (SMS) principles and safety risk management processes within the training framework.
  • Oversee training quality assurance, instructional standards, learner effectiveness, and training delivery methods to support operational readiness, scalability, consistency, and frontline execution.
  • Drive training interventions and performance improvement initiatives by analyzing operational trends, audit findings, safety data, compliance metrics, instructor performance, and training effectiveness.
  • Ensure Corporate Trainers, Master Trainers, Local Trainers, and vendor trainers maintain all necessary qualifications, certifications, and training standards.
  • Offer leadership, coaching, development, and performance management to department personnel, while managing departmental productivity and operational priorities.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, development, and succession planning for the Stations Training team.
  • Engage with cross-functional departments to support operational initiatives, system implementations, process enhancements, and enterprise projects impacting Stations operations and training.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of blended learning strategies, including computer-based training (CBT), virtual learning, instructor-led training, and other operational learning solutions.
  • Maintain meticulous oversight, organization, distribution, and version control of training records, curriculum documentation, instructional materials, manuals, bulletins, and associated training resources.
  • Stay current with operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and frontline operational environments to ensure training remains practical, relevant, and aligned with real-world application.
  • Undertake travel as necessary for station visits, training observations, operational assessments, intervention support, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure direct reports understand and apply the Customer Commitment and customer service standards in their roles.
  • Embody Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal conduct and leadership direction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in airline operations, operational training, or aviation-related operational leadership.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a leadership or management capacity within an operational, training, or regulatory setting.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. as stipulated by the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Must successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
  • Possession of a valid, unexpired Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time and work flexible schedules as needed.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience managing curriculum development, instructional design, or Computer-Based Training (CBT) development processes.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and training development methodologies.
  • Experience leading operational training teams within the airline industry.
  • Experience managing change management or operational implementation projects.
  • Prior experience supervising trainers, instructional designers, curriculum developers, or operational learning teams.

  • Consistent attendance is mandatory.
  • Exposure to moderate office noise, temperature, and light fluctuations.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Some travel may be required.

Airport Environment (if applicable to role duties)

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands/fingers to operate various tools and equipment (e.g., hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs).
  • Required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs.
  • May work various shifts in a 24-hour operational setting.
  • Consistent attendance is mandatory.
  • Exposure to heights, confined spaces, extreme noise (airport environment), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations.
  • Ability to work in confined areas and crawl in/out of small spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear personal protective gear.
  • Some travel may be required.
