Job Summary

The Project Manager will oversee customer programs from their initial handover through successful execution and delivery. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless collaboration between Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations. The primary focus will be on maintaining schedule adherence, fostering clear communication, and effectively resolving issues for ongoing programs, with a strong emphasis on disciplined execution, meeting customer specifications, and proactive risk management.

As the internal owner of assigned programs, the Project Manager will guarantee that all customer commitments are thoroughly understood, meticulously documented, and consistently implemented across all relevant departments and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned customer programs from the internal handover phase through production execution and final delivery.
  • Act as the main internal liaison for program coordination, ensuring cohesive alignment among Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
  • Maintain precise program schedules, track key milestones, and monitor deliverables, while proactively identifying potential risks to cost, schedule, or quality.
  • Verify that customer requirements, necessary approvals, and documentation are accurately captured, clearly communicated, and strictly adhered to.
  • Organize internal reviews and facilitate cross-functional meetings to support program execution and expedite issue resolution.
  • Monitor program status, track outstanding actions, and manage identified risks, escalating issues promptly with well-defined recommendations.
  • Assist in customer communications, working in tandem with the Sales department to ensure consistent messaging and reliable follow-through.
  • Proactively coordinate and escalate schedules with external processors, suppliers, and material partners to prevent delays and maintain continuous workflow.
  • Oversee material flow, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and drive timely resolutions through effective communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that any changes to scope, requirements, or priorities are properly documented, communicated to all relevant parties, and internally aligned.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering departments on customer-specific requirements, approvals, and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support the launch of new programs, including onboarding processes, documentation alignment, and readiness assessments.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program execution, streamline communication channels, and optimize handover procedures.
  • Undertake travel to Prince facilities and customer sites as necessary to fulfill program requirements.

  • Exhibit clear and direct communication skills, capable of aligning diverse cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Possess a keen attention to detail and a commitment to thorough follow-through on all tasks.
  • Show an aptitude for identifying risks at an early stage and driving them to resolution.
  • Be comfortable operating within a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing setting that involves stringent customer requirements.
  • Display robust problem-solving abilities coupled with a practical, execution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; prior experience with ERP systems and project tracking tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple facilities and various functional teams.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, program management, or operations within a manufacturing context is required.
  • Previous experience supporting industries such as aerospace, space, defense, or other regulated sectors is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated prior experience in coordinating cross-functional teams is essential.

Physical Job Requirements

  • The role involves extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to navigate and access production facility environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support programs across different facilities.
