MDM Solution Architect Consultant

Role overview

Michelin is looking for a Solution Consultant to join the Master Data Management team within its Supply Chain Business Solutions organization in Pune. In this role, you will work with a global team focused on customer MDM processes and partner with product architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to shape solutions that are scalable, high-performing, standardized, and aligned to business needs.

What you will do

• Design IT solutions that support business goals and long-term operational needs.
• Strike the right balance between standardization, simplification, and targeted customization.
• Prepare and communicate design documentation so development teams have a clear execution reference.
• Make sure the proposed solution is maintainable, scalable, easy to operate, and performance-ready.
• Collect requirements, analyze gaps, and convert business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Help ensure the expected value from the business case is delivered.
• Contribute to user story development and refine requirements together with stakeholders.
• Factor FMEA considerations and performance expectations into solution design.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, refinement sessions, and reviews.
• Work with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
• Support applications at L2 and L3 level.
• Contribute to test strategy definition and testing execution.
• Build technical solutions that follow established architectural patterns.

What the role needs

• Strong background in business and functional analysis for Oracle MDM, CDM, or other master data management platforms.
• Practical experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Data Hub or a similar solution.
• Good understanding of TCA and BI reporting.
• Ability to convert complex business requirements into precise technical specifications.
• Awareness of supply chain processes.
• Exposure to FMEA concepts.
• Basic knowledge of architecture and design principles.
• Familiarity with core technologies such as Java, Git, cloud platforms, and SQL.
• Understanding of microservices and cloud-native environments such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of API design, REST services, and API Manager setups.
• Understanding of integration approaches including EDI, APIs, and event-driven systems such as Kafka.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, international, and cross-functional environment.
• Ability to manage several projects and processes at the same time.
• Flexible to work in a shift aligned with French time zone hours.

Working model

This is a hybrid role based in Pune. The setup requires three days per week from the office and allows two flexible days from home. Working hours must accommodate French time zone coverage from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM IST.
