Compensation

The position pays $90 per hour.

Role Responsibilities

• Assess mechanical engineering problems, solutions, and explanations for technical accuracy, completeness, and logical soundness.
• Spot mistakes, unclear reasoning, and missing steps, then provide direct and well-supported feedback.
• Use consistent judgment across topics such as statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and machine design.
• Align evaluations with established quality standards to keep reviews dependable and consistent.
• Help maintain a strong quality benchmark across the technical material being reviewed.
• Work on your own, asynchronously, and meet deadlines while improving the quality of technical content.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong grounding in core mechanical engineering principles and the ability to solve problems carefully from first principles.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect subtle technical issues.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain why a solution is right or wrong.
• Comfort with independent work and applying structured evaluation criteria consistently.
• Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferred: Background in technical review, grading, tutoring, or quality assurance.
