Job description

Role overview

The OCN/LN Monitor (Escort) is responsible for accompanying un-cleared personnel into restricted areas and overseeing them while they carry out their assigned tasks. The position also involves checking Local National/Other Country National (LN/OCN) contractors in and out, counting people before and after work, and keeping the relevant team informed about the number of personnel and vehicles under escort.

Key duties

  • Provide escort support for a broad range of LN/OCN personnel movement and activity.
  • Meet LN/OCN workers at the designated entry point after processing and badge issuance, then brief them on site rules and procedures.
  • Remain with LN/OCN personnel until the day’s work is finished, the work area has been cleared by trained force protection personnel, and all personnel have left the base or returned to camp.
  • Prevent prohibited or contraband items such as weapons or drugs from being brought onto the base.
  • Keep constant visual contact with escorted personnel and vehicles, while safeguarding both self and others; respond appropriately in emergencies, including moving to protective shelter if needed.
  • Report unsafe work conditions to the Project/Site Manager and safety team as early as possible.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and site cleanliness standards are followed.
  • Stay alert and ready to respond to any incident, and report suspicious behavior or remarks from LN/OCN personnel to the proper contacts.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A valid U.S. passport is preferred.
  • A current U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record is needed.
  • Must be able to satisfy all current USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements, including the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM Individual and Individual-Unit Deployment Policy.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a valid residency visa in the host nation.
  • Must be capable of working in harsh environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be prepared for extended work hours and exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

Additional information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Qatar. Travel is 100% deployed overseas. Security clearance required: NACI/Public Trust.
