Role overview
Inclusive Dialogue on Energy in Africa (IDEA) is hiring an Office Manager for a full-time, onsite position in the United Arab Emirates. This role is suited to an entry-level or mid-level professional who can keep daily office functions running smoothly, support administration across teams, and help maintain an efficient workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee routine office operations and general administrative work.
- Plan and manage office calendars, meetings, and appointments.
- Monitor office inventory, equipment, and relationships with vendors.
- Support document handling, filing systems, and record maintenance.
- Assist with employee onboarding and basic HR-related administration.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional manner.
- Arrange travel, lodging, and event coordination when needed.
- Help ensure office rules, policies, and procedures are properly followed.
- Provide administrative and operational assistance to management and other departments.
- Support the planning of company meetings, events, and team activities.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Experience in office administration, office coordination, or a comparable position is beneficial.
- Strong ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to working with others.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Capable of working on your own and handling priorities efficiently.
- High attention to detail with solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
