Offshore Technician

Role overview

This is a permanent, full-time offshore technician position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, supporting onsite and offshore work. The role focuses on operating, servicing, and maintaining the hire fleet according to the company’s maintenance processes. The position supports operations across the Middle East, and there may also be chances to contribute to projects in other regions around the world.

The company is seeking someone with a practical, collaborative approach, a flexible attitude, and the ability to work comfortably in high-temperature environments. Training will be provided on the core product range.

Key duties

• Prepare equipment so it meets hire office specifications.
• Follow service routines and quality standards in line with company procedures.
• Apply occupational health and safety requirements at all times.
• Package, maintain, and operate company equipment onshore and offshore as needed, following internal service methods.
• Complete service documentation, stock records, timesheets, performance reviews, handover notes, and other project paperwork required by company processes.
• Handle delivery tasks, decals, and signage.
• Calibrate applicable safety devices.
• Support third-party inspection activities.
• Pressure test hoses and pressure pumps when needed.
• Contribute actively to the company’s safety culture.
• Maintain a professional, polite, and customer-focused manner with colleagues and clients.
• Take on other reasonable duties assigned by the line manager, provided they are completed safely, efficiently, and within the required timeframe and competence level.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in line with business needs. A mechanical background with relevant experience and qualifications is required.

You should be comfortable using computers, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and be fluent in written and spoken English. Helpful technical exposure includes diesel engines and shutdown systems, pressure testing, QHSE, offshore survival/BOSIET, H2S awareness, slips/trips/falls awareness, steam boiler operation and maintenance, air compressor operation and maintenance, hydraulics, and electrical or generator experience. A full driving licence would be an advantage.
