Job description

About ClearPoint

ClearPoint has spent more than 19 years partnering with organisations through complex digital change. The company blends software engineering, AI, data and insights, cloud, and human-centred design to create outcomes that last. Its client base includes some of the most influential organisations across Australasia, and it also operates with a broader presence across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.

The Auckland head office is located overlooking the Viaduct, about 5 minutes from Britomart, and the business also provides co-working access throughout New Zealand and Australia. ClearPoint is focused on making a positive difference for its people, clients, community, and the wider region.

Culture and values

The team is described as collaborative, curious, and high performing. The culture is built around ownership, high standards, and genuinely enjoying the work. The core values are respect and care for people, acting with integrity, and earning and nurturing trust.

About the role

ClearPoint is seeking an Operations Manager for a permanent, full-time position in Auckland. This is a practical, mid-level leadership role for someone who wants real accountability and broad scope. The right person will enjoy moving between strategic thinking and day-to-day execution, spotting what needs improvement, taking initiative, and making things better.

The role covers a wide range of business operations, including facilities and the office environment, corporate systems, events and travel, sustainability, policies, health and safety, and team leadership. It also requires confidence with technology platforms and responsibility for driving the ISO 27001 programme when needed. The role works closely with the COO and the wider leadership team to keep the business running efficiently, securely, and as a strong place to work.

ClearPoint is looking for someone who is proactive, accountable, and naturally inclined to use AI and automation to improve how work gets done. The role suits a person who wants meaningful responsibility, room to shape processes, and the opportunity to influence how a high-performing technology consultancy operates.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operational standards that support the business, including the office environment, supplier relationships, facilities coordination, travel, internal events, sustainability activity, and governance of health and safety, business continuity, and corporate policies.

You will manage and develop the Operations Administrator, provide practical support to the COO and executive team, and act as the main owner of the company’s core corporate systems. This includes configuration, optimisation, integrations, and enabling staff to use those systems effectively.

You will also own the operations budgets across areas such as technology, office, facilities, and travel, monitor spend, manage renewals, and provide evidence-based recommendations to leadership. On the security side, you will lead the ISO 27001 programme end to end, including the ISMS, audit cycle, risk register, and security culture.

In addition, you will support onboarding and offboarding across devices, accounts, and licences, and act as the key operational contact for the technology solutions that keep the business running.

What success in this role looks like

The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who can move easily between strategy and execution, removes friction without being prompted, and takes full ownership of their remit. They are calm under pressure, make sound decisions, work well with people at every level, and help build AI and automation capability across the business.

Experience and skills required

ClearPoint is looking for someone with proven experience in operations management or a similar role in a small to mid-sized organisation, where they have owned a function end to end and delivered measurable outcomes.

You should be comfortable with office management, supplier coordination, multi-tasking across competing priorities, budget control, SaaS spend management, stakeholder communication, internal event planning, systems administration, information security principles, AI tools in a work setting, and process improvement that delivers lasting efficiency gains.

What the role offers

The position comes with competitive remuneration, access to modern technology, support for professional growth, and a collaborative, innovative team environment. The work itself offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to complex and interesting projects.

Additional staff benefits include health insurance, subsidised gym memberships, massages, a dog- and kid-friendly head office, drinks and snacks, barista coffee, and regular opportunities to take part in sports and team events. Flexible or remote working arrangements may be available where suitable, with collaboration supported through tools such as Slack and Google Meet.

Permanent employees also receive an annual training and professional development allowance for books, courses, and conferences.

Application information

Applicants must be based in New Zealand and eligible to work there. To apply, candidates should send a CV and a short introduction by email.

AI notice

The employer may use AI tools to assist with parts of the recruitment process, such as reviewing applications, analysing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools support the recruitment team but do not replace human judgment, and final hiring decisions are made by people.
