About the opportunity
Prestige Inhome Care is looking for a compassionate Personal Care Attendant to support clients in Bendigo. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people live safely and comfortably at home while contributing to a positive and respectful care experience.
Key duties
- Provide hands-on personal care support.
- Assist with manual handling tasks as needed.
- Carry out domestic support work such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Support transport needs and community access, including both escorted and unescorted shifts.
- Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Offer emotional encouragement, encourage social connection, and help clients work toward personal goals.
What the employer is looking for
- Ideally, you will bring around 2 years of experience working as a PCA.
- You should be available on weekdays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- The role requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours each week.
- You must be dependable and comfortable working on your own.
- Experience supporting people with vision impairment is preferred.
- You should be willing to take on independent cleaning tasks.
- Travel across Bendigo is part of the role, so comfort with local travel is important.
