Project
QMS Sentinel project located currently in Qatar.
Role Mission
The Pipefitter Foreman will oversee and coordinate the piping team activities ensuring quality, safety and efficiency in line with the project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the piping team, allocating tasks and equipment for completing assigned scopes.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and project quality standards among all team members.
- Interpret work drawings and guide the team for correct execution of tasks.
- Supervise daily operations, address challenges, and report issues to the works supervisor.
- Organize and verify availability and compliance of tools, materials, and equipment; initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate with the works supervisor to optimize resources and workflow.
- Conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) for the team.
- Monitor adherence to project timelines and schedules.
- Document any modifications during execution and ensure proper record updates for As Built documentation.
- Provide supervisors with progress data regarding quantities installed or produced, manpower, equipment, tools, and materials utilized.
- Implement and uphold the permit-to-work system.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to facilitate smooth ongoing operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the worksite.
Candidate Profile
Education: High School or equivalent secondary education.
Experience: 10 to 15 years as a Pipefitter Foreman specifically within the Oil & Gas industry.
Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
Technical Skills
- Minimum 10 years in a pipefitter foreman position with 3-5 years or more experience in welding applications.
- Thorough knowledge of manual welding techniques such as SMAW and FCAW.
- Familiarity with cutting and trimming processes including cold and hot cutting.
- Experience with oxyacetylene and plasma cutting methods.
- Understanding of machining processes such as milling, turning, and lathe operations.
- Knowledge of drilling applications related to piping.
- Proficiency with isometric drawings, bevel designs, fittings, torqueing, steel fabrication, and erection.
- Ability to supervise lifting and rigging operations, installation, and assembly work.
- Experience working with materials including carbon steel flowlines, clad materials, Inconel 625/825, and stainless steels 314L and 316L.
- Demonstrated expertise in pipeline scopes both onshore and offshore.
- Experience in heavy fabrication yards, refineries, power plants, shipyards, offshore jacket installations, wind farm installation, deck, conductors, piling, and boat landing installations.
