Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is with a pre-seed and seed-stage venture capital firm in London that supports early-stage founders. The position sits on the platform side of the business and is focused on strengthening the founder ecosystem around the firm.

You will act as a highly self-directed generalist, helping to grow and nurture a strong founder community. The role combines events, content, relationship-building, and internal platform support to connect investment priorities with portfolio value creation. It is especially well suited to someone who has already built at a startup or supported founders in an early-stage environment and is ready to help shape platform operations from the ground up.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is £40,000 to £50,000 per year.

Location

This is based in London, UK and is an onsite position.

What makes this role compelling

  • You will have real influence over the platform strategy instead of stepping into an existing, fully defined process.
  • You will work closely with the investment team and help shape which founders are brought into the wider network.
  • You will gain close exposure to the pre-seed venture space while building a valuable professional network in London.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-value founder community activities such as dinners, salons, and industry gatherings.
  • Partner with the investment team to spot and develop relationships with founders who align with the firm's portfolio focus.
  • Help run internal platform operations and improve the tools and systems used for communication and workflow efficiency.

Ideal candidate profile

The firm is looking for someone with strong startup instincts and a bias for action. Prior experience as a founder, early-stage team member, or high-performing founder's associate or chief of staff would be a strong fit.

You should feel comfortable working in uncertain, loosely defined environments where initiative and outcomes matter more than rigid processes. A genuine interest in the startup world and a strong motivation to support founders at the earliest stages is important.

Recruitment context

This role is being handled by an AI recruiter working on behalf of the employer. The company may share limited details in the listing, but it is presented as a real open position. If there is a fit, the next step is a conversation with the recruiter contact mentioned in the original posting.
