Overview
This is a contract Policy Consultant role based remotely in the United States. The position offers hourly compensation between $20 and $58 and involves a workload of 10 to 40 hours per week.
Role Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and refine policy materials, legal agreements, proposals, and research documents using strong Word and PDF capabilities.
- Advise clients on regulatory, legal, healthcare, academic, or finance-focused matters and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Carefully examine documents to ensure they are accurate, easy to understand, and aligned with relevant professional standards.
- Assist with precise formatting, tracked edits, form completion, and extraction of information from documents.
- Work with teams across functions to convert complex information into clear policies, procedures, and action points.
- Keep up with changing rules, regulations, and guidance relevant to the subject area.
Requirements
- At least some professional background in government policy operations is required.
- Advanced skill in Word and PDF tools is essential, including editing with tracked changes, formatting, reviewing documents, and pulling data from files.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed for professional client and team interactions.
- Proven experience in drafting, assessing, and reviewing detailed policy or regulatory documents is necessary.
- Ability to handle several assignments at once and deliver work on strict deadlines in a remote, fast-moving environment.
