About the Opportunity
A well-established middle-market private equity firm with over 25 years of investment experience is looking for an Associate to join its investment team. The firm has a strong track record of investing in transportation, logistics, supply chain, and distribution businesses. They are currently managing their first institutional fund and are preparing to raise a larger successor fund. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute private equity investment opportunities within the transportation, logistics, supply chain, and related sectors.
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling, valuation analyses, and due diligence processes.
- Prepare investment committee materials and transaction presentations.
- Undertake industry, market, and competitive research to identify promising investment themes.
- Support the execution of transactions by coordinating with management teams, lenders, consultants, and legal advisors.
- Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and assist with strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and financing activities.
- Engage in sourcing efforts and manage relationships with intermediaries, executives, and industry contacts.
Qualifications
- Possess 2 to 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, private credit, secondaries, infrastructure investing, transportation-focused investing, or similar investment roles.
- Demonstrate strong capabilities in financial modeling, valuation, and analytical tasks.
- Have experience in evaluating investment opportunities and supporting transaction execution.
- Show a clear interest in middle-market private equity investing.
- Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Be capable of thriving in an entrepreneurial setting with substantial responsibility and direct interaction with senior decision-makers.
