About the Role

Hamilton City Council is seeking a Process Management Advisor to join its People, Performance and Culture group. This role is crucial in enhancing the council's operational efficiency and consistency by supporting the documentation, maintenance, and improvement of business processes. By strengthening process management, you will directly contribute to improved service delivery and better outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administering Nintex Process Manager, including managing user access, structure, metadata, templates, and providing publishing support and daily maintenance of the process knowledge base.
  • Assisting business units in capturing, documenting, reviewing, and maintaining business processes according to established standards, methods, and templates.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to process owners, subject matter experts, and contributors to enhance process quality, consistency, and usability.
  • Supporting team members in process mapping and documentation for service improvement, redesign, business cases, and projects, and undertaking this work directly when needed.
  • Monitoring the quality and up-to-dateness of documented processes and collaborating with business areas to identify gaps, necessary updates, and improvement opportunities.
  • Developing and delivering training materials, guidance, and support to build organizational capability in process documentation and management.
  • Facilitating process improvement initiatives by helping teams understand current-state processes, associated risks, controls, and potential improvement areas.
  • Cultivating strong working relationships across the organization and promoting consistent and practical process management practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficiency in business process management, process documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong facilitation, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Nintex Process Manager, Promapp, or similar process documentation software.
  • Proven ability to capture, document, and maintain business processes in collaboration with subject matter experts and business teams.
  • Capacity to deliver training, guidance, and practical support to effectively assist others in utilizing process management tools and methods.
  • Practical understanding of process mapping, documentation standards, and continuous improvement approaches.
  • Aptitude for analyzing information, identifying issues, and supporting the implementation of practical solutions.
  • A tertiary qualification in business, process management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with local government operations is advantageous.

Additional Information

The salary for this position is approximately $115,000, dependent on the candidate's skills and experience.
