About the Company
AcuTech Group, Inc. specializes in process safety, risk management, chemical security, industrial fire protection engineering, and emergency management. The firm brings extensive experience across process safety management, training, implementation, audits, process hazard analysis, hazard and operability studies, quantitative risk assessment, and facility siting. Its work supports organizations in oil and gas, chemicals, LNG, petrochemicals, renewables, hydrogen, and other hazardous-material industries, serving private companies, public companies, government bodies, and state-sponsored organizations worldwide.
Role Overview
AcuTech Consulting Group is expanding and is looking for experienced and highly driven Process Safety Consultants in Qatar. The role offers the chance to work with respected process safety specialists on demanding assignments for major regional and international clients. Project work will mainly be based in Qatar, with travel or assignments across KSA and other GCC countries as needed.
This opportunity is designed for professionals who want strong personal and career growth. The organization offers salary, bonus, and benefits that reflect experience and role level.
Key Responsibilities
You will support clients on a wide range of process safety and risk management projects as part of the Qatar team. The role calls for practical engineering judgment, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to both safety outcomes and business goals. You should also be ready to take on leadership and development opportunities while managing several assignments at once.
Senior-Level Expectations
For senior consultants, the position requires the ability to lead cross-functional teams, handle client relationships, support business development, and use strong project and people management capabilities.
General Requirements
Candidates should be self-driven, independent, well organized, technically strong, and comfortable working under the guidance of senior engineers when needed. The role also requires the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain a high standard of client service.
Technical Background Required
Applicants should hold a BE, BTech, BS, ME, MTech, or MS in a relevant engineering discipline such as chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or safety engineering. Experience in process safety management, engineering design, manufacturing operations, or consulting is required.
You should also be able to support consulting business development through proposal preparation and presentations. Strong leadership, organization, analytical thinking, problem solving, facilitation, and communication skills are essential, along with a consultative mindset.
The role includes prior involvement in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs, including the creation of PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, and standard operating procedures. Experience evaluating or auditing PSM management systems and advising leadership to drive operational excellence is also important.
Additional expectations include experience delivering technical training, workshops, and train-the-trainer programs, as well as mentoring client teams so they can maintain the PSM program over the long term. Prior work in brownfield operating environments is also required.
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in PSM technical services such as process hazard analyses, risk studies, design reviews, HAZID, What-If studies, HAZOP, FMEA, ENVID, SIMOPS, LOPA, Bowtie Analysis, and ALARP demonstration.
Experience in safety instrumented systems, including SIL assessment and familiarity with IEC 61511 and related standards, will be an advantage.
Additional desirable experience includes quantitative risk assessment work such as consequence modelling, QRA, occupied building risk assessment, toxic gas risk assessment, fire and explosion risk assessment, EERA, ESSA, and 3-D F&G mapping.
Knowledge of safety critical equipment identification and performance standards development is also preferred. Familiarity with Qatar Energy MAHM Framework and Saudi ARAMCO standards is considered an advantage, as is prior experience in the Middle East.
Strong business-development potential is highly valued, especially for candidates who already have client relationships and can help generate new opportunities.
Equal Opportunity Statement
The company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and maintains an inclusive and fair workplace. It evaluates applicants without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other legally protected status.
