Role overview

This is a part-time, on-site position in Dubai for a Product Engineering Manager. The role focuses on guiding the full product engineering journey, starting from understanding requirements and shaping technical design through to release, support, and ongoing maintenance.

What you will do

You will work closely with student groups and stakeholder teams to convert business goals into dependable technical solutions. The position includes setting feature priorities, planning product roadmaps, and making sure engineering work stays aligned with wider strategic objectives.

In addition, you will lead and support software development teams, review code and architectural choices, and help maintain strong standards for quality, speed, and security. You will also coordinate timelines and resources, partner with product management, and encourage a work style built on innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in product engineering and software development, with practical experience delivering scalable and maintainable systems.
  • Knowledge of product management practices such as gathering requirements, ordering the backlog, and planning roadmaps.
  • Proven ability in engineering leadership and team management, including mentoring, performance support, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Capability to connect technical choices with business priorities while balancing innovation, practicality, and available resources.
  • Familiarity with modern development workflows such as Agile, CI/CD, code reviews, and version control.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder handling, and problem-solving abilities, with comfort working across academic and industry settings in a multicultural environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree or current studies in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline; prior leadership in student clubs or technology communities is a plus.
  • Exposure to product analytics, user feedback cycles, and basic UX concepts will be helpful.
