Role Summary

This position is for an NPD Project Manager who will own new product development and innovation programs across skincare, personal care, and beauty. The role involves taking products from idea stage through commercialization, while working closely with multiple internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory stakeholders in a fast-paced D2C/FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee complete new product development projects, including concept creation, formulation, packaging work, testing, and launch readiness.
  • Spot new product opportunities by studying the market, reviewing consumer feedback, and comparing competitor offerings.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and stage-gate workflows.
  • Work in close coordination with R&D, procurement, supply chain, packaging, regulatory, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Handle packaging development activities, approve artwork, and ensure label content meets compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate sourcing of raw materials, onboard vendors, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Make sure packaging and raw material supply is available on time to support launches.
  • Identify project risks early and put mitigation actions in place to prevent delays.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives without compromising on product quality or brand expectations.
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and overall readiness for product launches.
  • Ensure all work aligns with regulatory rules and internal quality standards.
  • Keep project records updated, including documentation, SOPs, and launch trackers.

Experience & Background

The role calls for 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in new product development, product innovation, or project management within beauty, personal care, cosmetics, skincare, wellness, or FMCG settings. Candidates should have handled product launches from ideation to commercialization and should understand the product development lifecycle along with stage-gate methods. Experience in vendor management, packaging development, procurement coordination, and regulatory compliance is expected. Exposure to D2C beauty or personal care brands is preferred.
