Job description
Company Overview
IMPACTER develops assessment and curriculum platforms for K–12 schools, designed to help districts and educators evaluate and strengthen “Skills for the Future” and Portrait of a Graduate competencies. The team emphasizes fast execution with strong rigor, clear ownership, and responsible use of AI to boost productivity and reduce low-value work.
Role Summary
This position is a hands-on operations role supporting a high-priority ETS partnership. You will act as the execution hub for the workstream by turning partner input into engineering-ready materials, keeping trackers and documentation current, coordinating uploads and assets, and making sure commitments are recorded and completed on time. The goal is to improve delivery reliability, cut down on internal back-and-forth, and free up time for Product and Engineering leadership.
Core Responsibilities
- Run the ETS execution system by joining important partner and ETS meetings when needed, maintaining action items, decision records, risk logs, open questions, and milestone trackers, and ensuring follow-through until issues are closed.
- Translate partner requests and internal notes into Jira, Linear, or similar tickets with user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, QA checklists, and clear definitions of done.
- Monitor scope changes by separating approved, requested, and deferred work, while keeping MVP commitments distinct from later enhancements and making roadmap impact visible.
- Support assessment and content operations by coordinating uploads of assessment items and curriculum assets, including tagging, metadata formatting, validation, and pre-handoff readiness checks for the scoring pipeline.
- Keep product knowledge organized by consolidating and migrating documentation into one source of truth, and maintaining up-to-date records for product decisions, ETS requirements, functional specifications, and SOPs.
- Provide status reporting through a centralized view of deliverables, risks, dependencies, owners, and timelines, and deliver concise weekly updates to Product and leadership.
Success Measures
- Engineering receives clear, actionable tickets with strong acceptance criteria and QA readiness.
- Trackers and documentation stay accurate, current, and dependable for stakeholders.
- Scope confusion decreases and fewer handoffs or deliverables are missed.
- Stakeholder follow-up and issue resolution happen faster.
- Delivery becomes more predictable, supporting ETS milestones on time, including key pilot milestones.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or you may have equivalent practical experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in product, product operations, project coordination, engineering operations, or another execution-heavy role.
- Strong capability in written documentation and ticket creation using Jira, Linear, Asana, or a comparable tool.
- Comfort building and maintaining tracking systems in Google Sheets or Excel; experience with Notion or Airtable is a plus.
- Practical familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or NotebookLM to speed up documentation and planning.
- Highly organized with strong ownership and dependable follow-through.
- Action-oriented and able to make progress even when information is incomplete, improving systems as you go.
- Clear communicator who can capture commitments, assign owners, and ensure closure.
- Coachable, collaborative, and comfortable working with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
Compensation
The full-time salary range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000, depending on experience and execution strength. An alternative contract-to-hire arrangement is available at $35 to $45 per hour for an initial 30 to 60 day period.
Benefits and Perks
Full-time employees receive the company’s standard benefits package, which includes health insurance and PTO, in line with company policy.
- Clear career progression: Product Operations Associate to Product Operations Specialist to Associate Product Manager.
- Exposure to enterprise-level product delivery in K–12 EdTech, AI/ML-informed workflows, and partner-facing execution.
Equal Opportunity
The employer provides equal employment opportunities and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by law.
