About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Production & Planning Engineer for their KUP facility in Ponneri, Tamil Nadu. This role is crucial for developing and executing production plans, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards. The engineer will coordinate across various departments to maintain a smooth workflow and achieve production targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans aligned with project timelines and priorities.
• Create detailed schedules for fabrication, assembly, and dispatch operations.
• Facilitate seamless workflow by coordinating with engineering, procurement, and execution teams.
• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring compliance with planned schedules.
• Maximize the efficient use of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Guarantee the timely availability of necessary raw materials and components.
• Monitor progress against production goals, identifying and addressing any delays or risks.
• Generate and maintain production reports, management information systems (MIS), and progress dashboards.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks within fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with QAQC teams to uphold production quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records for work orders, material consumption, and output.
• Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to cost management by reducing waste and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Manage and oversee subcontracting or outsourcing activities as needed.
