Job description

Company Overview

eDynamic Learning has spent 18 years supporting educators with accessible, equitable learning resources. Started by a teacher, the organization focuses on helping students prepare for life after graduation by assisting teachers and programs that build career awareness, exploration, and practical life skills through Career and Technical Education (CTE).

The company emphasizes early exploration with resources designed for middle school learners. Its courseware library and Learning Blade offering have helped broaden interest in STEM, computer science, and careers.

As the largest publisher of CTE and elective digital curriculum in North America, eDynamic Learning offers more than 250 courses for grades 6–12. Its pathway curriculum covers 14 career clusters and prepares students for nearly 100 industry certifications. The organization also supports implementation through professional development and virtual instructional services led by certified teachers.

Beyond coursework, the company also develops experiential learning through Knowledge Matters virtual simulations and project-based materials, designed to create hands-on practice in a digital setting.

In July 2025, eDynamic Learning was acquired by Pearson.

Greenways Academy Overview

Role Overview

The Professional Development Trainer acts as a consultant for eDynamic Learning and delivers high-quality learning sessions to school districts across the United States. The role includes both virtual and in-person training, customized workshop design, and continued collaboration with eDynamic Learning staff to improve professional development offerings. Trainers may choose whether to accept opportunities as they arise. Initial sessions will be co-led with an eDynamic Learning team member or a long-term consultant to ensure consistency with the organization’s training standards.

This position partners closely with the Director of Instructional Services and Professional Development and the Executive Director to prepare workshop presentations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with deep familiarity with current educational practices, regulations, and platforms, and is able to perform well in demanding, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead professional development sessions for school districts through live virtual trainings, on-site workshops, and on-demand video recordings.
  • Use a consultative style to show how eDynamic Learning’s courses and services help districts reach instructional goals, support initiatives, and improve student outcomes.
  • Deliver sessions that are polished, engaging, and consistent with quality expectations.
  • Review district notes and background details before each engagement.
  • Adapt workshop content using approved templates and materials to reflect district priorities, goals, and challenges.
  • Build and structure sessions with eDynamic Learning’s professional development modules to maintain consistency and flexibility.
  • Work with eDynamic Learning staff and the Professional Development Scheduler to coordinate planning and session delivery.
  • Share feedback and recommendations to strengthen workshops and trainer resources over time.
  • Take part in co-facilitated sessions, onboarding, and periodic updates when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in professional development, instructional coaching, training, or facilitation for educators or school staff.
  • Background working with K–12 districts, online or blended learning programs, or digital curriculum providers.
  • Experience delivering both virtual and in-person learning sessions.
  • Strong grasp of instructional practices, learning theory, and professional learning design.
  • Comfortable in a consultative, client-facing setting.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation ability with skill in engaging varied audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to tailor learning experiences to district goals and educator needs.
  • Well-developed organization and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple trainings and preparation schedules.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Professional, dependable, and responsive work style.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability in changing training environments.
  • Strong familiarity with learning platforms such as Google Classroom, Buzz, Canvas, and Schoology.
  • Comfort using Zoom, Teams, learning management systems, and presentation tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Additional Information

This is a contract role. Training opportunities are offered by mutual agreement between the trainer and eDynamic Learning, and the company assigns trainers based on geographic proximity to the district, availability, and existing relationships. The number of workshops may vary from week to week or month to month and is not guaranteed.

Compensation ranges from $125 to $1,000 per session. Training time itself is unpaid. Travel expenses are covered.

Work Arrangement

This role is remote, with both virtual delivery and travel for in-person workshops as needed.
