Job description

Overview

VINCI’s Seymour Whyte is hiring two Project Administrators for the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Upgrade Project in Queensland. This major civil infrastructure initiative is being delivered as a joint venture with John Holland and aims to strengthen the rail network between Beerburrum and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. When finished, the project is expected to improve the North Coast Line and deliver better travel connections across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, and Brisbane.

These are site-based roles that support day-to-day project delivery. One position will concentrate on finance-related administration, while the other will support the Delivery Manager with reporting tasks and general site administration. The work environment is fast-moving and varied, so the ideal person will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will contribute to smooth project operations by handling administrative support across site activities. Depending on the placement, your focus may include finance administration, reporting, coordination, and general office support to assist the broader delivery team.

Key Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience in the civil construction sector is required.
  • Strong organisational ability and effective time management, with a proven capacity to juggle priorities and work to demanding deadlines.
  • Knowledge of job costing, procurement, and accounts processes is highly regarded.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills, along with a cooperative, team-oriented approach.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus other related software.
  • A current driver’s licence and access to personal transport are essential because many projects are in regional locations.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay, salary continuance insurance, and an employee share program.
  • Leave support including purchased leave, paid parental leave, and a paid birthday day off.
  • Training, mentoring, and leadership development opportunities to support career growth.
  • Wellbeing support such as discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, fertility assistance, and an employee assistance program.
  • Access to shopping, fitness, and wellbeing discounts through partner programs, including reduced gym memberships and classes.

About the Employer

Seymour Whyte is a long-established civil contracting business with more than 35 years of operations in Australia. The company combines the agility and close-knit feel of a Tier 2 contractor with the experience of a Tier 1 organisation and the backing of VINCI, one of the world’s largest construction groups.

The business describes itself as progressive and focused on helping its people grow, enabling teams to build the future together with strength, inclusion, and shared purpose. It is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds, including veterans.

Additional Information

Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Successful candidates will need to complete a pre-employment medical assessment and criminal history check. Recruitment agencies are not invited to submit candidates for this role, as the internal Talent Acquisition team is handling the hiring process.
