Role overview
This role supports the coordination of multiple construction and facility-related initiatives for Actionmarguerite. The coordinator will help with scheduling, budget and plan administration, resource coordination, and communication across project groups so that work stays aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities.
The position acts as a link between internal and external project participants and Actionmarguerite, helping ensure that updates, changes, and progress information are communicated clearly to all stakeholders. It also involves spotting possible risks early and assisting with practical measures to keep projects moving forward.
The role reports to the Director of Facilities and Support Services and works closely with the leadership team to organize, document, and guide the activities of several projects.

What you will do
- Coordinate several construction and facility projects at the same time.
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, planning, and resource allocation.
- Serve as a communication bridge between internal teams, external partners, and the organization.
- Track project progress and keep stakeholders informed about updates and changes.
- Identify risks and help develop strategies to reduce project delays or issues.
- Work with the Director of Facilities and Support Services and the leadership team to plan, organize, document, and direct project activity.
- Follow all health and safety requirements, including safe work practices and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Report incidents, injuries, illnesses, and safety concerns to management or a supervisor.
Schedule and employment details
This is a 1.0 FTE full-time term assignment on day shifts, currently scheduled from 08:00 to 16:15. The term is set to end on March 31, 2028. Work hours and assignments may change at any time based on operational needs.
Service and assignment: Support Services. Start date: July 08, 2026. Closing date: Open until filled.
Compensation
Pay is based on the established salary scale.
Qualifications and experience
You should have a completed post-secondary degree or diploma in a construction-related field such as Construction Management, Project Management, or an Engineering Technology program. A combination of education and experience may also be considered, and PMP certification is an asset.
Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of experience as a project coordinator and be comfortable working in a computer-based environment using MS Office, MS Project, and SharePoint.

- Strong verbal and written communication in both French and English.
- Comfort building effective working relationships across all levels of an organization and with outside stakeholders.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, drawings, blueprints, and construction documents.
- Capacity to manage several priorities at once and adapt to changing demands.
- Strong confidentiality and discretion.
- Independent judgment and the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Team-oriented approach and willingness to collaborate.
- Solid analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving ability.
- High accuracy and close attention to detail.
- Flexibility to handle after-hours emergencies and occasional schedule changes to meet deadlines.
- Reliable attendance and a satisfactory employment record.
Knowledge required
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and responsibilities that require accuracy, security, and statutory compliance.
- Understanding of building and fire codes and related regulations.
- Awareness of Actionmarguerite’s vision, mission, values, resident rights, policies, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of safety and health legislation, standards, and accepted guidelines.
- Ability to assess worksite risks objectively.
- Knowledge of WHMIS.
Additional requirements
This position is designated bilingual in French and English. If you are not French speaking, you are expected to begin learning French and take a course or use another learning method.
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check is required. The employer will determine whether the result is satisfactory.
Employees may hold more than one role in different Actionmarguerite facilities as long as the combined hours do not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
