Role Summary
Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Project Manager for operations and maintenance work in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The position focuses on maintaining field instruments, ensuring smooth plant performance, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and driving service quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Profile and Experience
The suitable candidate should hold either a diploma in E&I with 5 to 12 years of experience, or a BE/B.Tech in E&I with 5 to 10 years of experience.
Core Work Areas
- Handle operation and maintenance activities for a wide range of field instruments.
- Work extensively with flow, level, temperature, and pressure instruments.
- Maintain and support analytical instruments such as pH, conductivity, FRC, turbidity, DO, MLSS, and BOD systems.
- Carry out preventive, breakdown, and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Perform calibration and fault diagnosis for field instruments and PLC systems.
- Configure PLCs for different process requirements and applications.
- Interpret P&IDs and control philosophy documents with confidence.
- Manage manpower and customer relationships effectively.
- Train team members and help build a dependable reliability-focused team.
- Support monsoon preparedness and precautionary site activities.
- Ensure implementation of EHS and quality documentation and procedures.
- Roll out and follow site-level SOPs related to work execution.
- Manage subcontractors, vendor contracts, supply agreements, purchase orders, and amendments.
- Track performance against KPIs and take action to keep targets on course.
- Coordinate closely with the client, headquarters, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide responsive service.
- Use negotiation and communication skills to support smooth project and site operations.
- Promote continual improvement across systems, teams, and processes.
