About the Role
We are collaborating with a premier Australian organization to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a 12-month contract based in Sydney. This role focuses on spearheading a significant transformation aimed at evolving towards an offer- and order-based retail model. The successful candidate will lead intricate projects bridging business and technology sectors, managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, and delivery streams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive delivery of complex business and technology initiatives, managing all aspects including scope, scheduling, governance, budgets, reporting, and milestones.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams spanning business units, technology, and external partners, ensuring alignment in dependencies, environments, testing procedures, deployment processes, and business readiness.
- Administer project risks, issue resolution, change control processes, and executive-level reporting to sustain momentum across various workstreams.
- Lead governance meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements to facilitate decision-making and secure successful project outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing complex projects in technology, digital platforms, or business transformation contexts.
- Demonstrated expertise in project planning, governance frameworks, stakeholder engagement, dependency tracking, and executive reporting.
- Proven track record delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Experience collaborating within multi-vendor or systems integrator environments.
- Advanced proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project (or similar), and Excel.
- Exceptional communication abilities to influence senior leadership and steer outcomes in large enterprise settings.
Additional Information
This position operates on a hybrid work model based in Sydney, requiring three days per week in the office and allowing two days remote work weekly.
