Role overview

WIKA Group is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities at its subsidiary in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, based in the 2nd Industrial City in Dammam. The role focuses on sourcing a wide range of spend categories, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring purchases deliver the right balance of quality, timing, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive sourcing efforts across categories including office supplies, production raw materials, and external service providers, while meeting organizational quality and quantity expectations.
  • Prepare routine reports for both internal and external reporting needs.
  • Partner with relevant departments to identify the most cost-effective and productive purchasing option within agreed timelines.
  • Ensure all activities follow department KPIs and procedures and are properly recorded in the required business systems.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in member organizations and corporate functions to put cost-reduction measures into practice.
  • Handle supplier contracts in a way that aligns with business requirements as well as WIKA’s values and policies.
  • Maintain supplier relationships efficiently and in line with the company’s sourcing strategy.
  • Monitor market developments, competitive movements, and innovations within assigned categories to secure the most effective purchasing options for WIKA.
  • Keep current with industry changes and local market rules and regulations.
  • Track inventory levels and replenish goods in a timely manner when needed.
  • Lead projects efficiently while staying within approved budget and schedule.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree from a reputable university and have at least 3 years of purchasing experience in Saudi Arabia. Experience sourcing SS and Inconel flanges, pipes, and bars is considered an advantage. The role also calls for strong communication skills, a solid local vendor network, and advanced written and spoken English. Candidates should be comfortable working in international teams, show cultural awareness and social competence, and demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills. Familiarity with approved supplier lists in Aramco across Saudi Arabia, Europe, India, and China is a plus, as is prior experience in multinational companies.
