Role Overview

The company is seeking a QHSE Supervisor for its Dammam, Saudi Arabia location. This role focuses on improving quality, health, safety, security, and environmental performance across the business while ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify QHSE improvement initiatives, create performance measures, and review organizational QHSE results on an annual basis.
  • Study incident and injury/illness trends and shift attention toward the areas that need improvement most.
  • Maintain and enforce the Quality Management System across all functions of the company.
  • Share improvement priorities across the organization and provide regular updates on project status, outcomes, and recognition for strong performance.
  • Support and participate in incident investigations, including major events, and prepare documents and evidence for hearings, legal matters, and insurance reviews when needed.
  • Plan, coordinate, conduct, or oversee internal and vendor audits.
  • Prepare and submit reports requested by management and regulatory authorities.
  • Confirm compliance with the QMS and all HSSE requirements, maintain required records, and issue corrective actions where necessary.
  • Build tools and reporting methods that strengthen HSSE tracking and visibility.
  • Lead reviews of corrective actions, measure performance against benchmarks, and drive follow-up action plans.
  • Work with Operations and HR to identify training gaps and align training plans with organizational needs.
  • Design, implement, and oversee safety programs and employee training related to quality, safety practices, procedures, and regulations.
  • Coordinate required environmental, health, and safety inspections and support inspectors with the needed documentation and safety information.
  • Monitor the safe and effective control or removal of physical, biological, and chemical hazards.
  • Create and improve procedures that strengthen EHS performance and keep policies aligned with current legal and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure EHS policy and procedure manuals remain current and accessible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, HSSE, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent regional qualifications are acceptable.
  • Professional safety and/or environmental credentials such as CSP, NEBOSH, or OHST are preferred.
  • ASQ certification in quality management is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HSSE procedures, regulations, KPIs, and the use of leading and lagging indicators.
  • Working knowledge and practical application of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
  • Exposure to oil and gas manufacturing or service environments is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Ability to carry out all essential duties of the role.
  • Comfort with risk and opportunity management processes.
  • Capability to identify process and procedure improvements that reduce negative impacts.
  • Strong organizational, change management, and process management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, coaching, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to influence managers and staff without direct authority and secure buy-in for change.
  • Experience developing processes, work instructions, and procedures to meet operational needs.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, deliver projects on time, and stay within budget.
  • Strong practical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work diplomatically with all levels of the organization in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to influence decisions and encourage adoption of improved practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and an EHS system.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Spanish and French are an advantage.
  • Good understanding of business connections and the impact decisions can have across the organization.
