Job overview
A manufacturing client in Cork is looking for a Quality Inspector to support its electronics production and design operations. In this role, you will report to the Quality Supervisor and handle inspection, auditing, and quality-control tasks as assigned.
Key duties
- Examine finished products and related paperwork against the relevant standards, specifications, and internal procedures.
- Record inspection findings and communicate any quality issues or nonconformances clearly.
- Approve products for customer dispatch, including preparing certificates of conformity and assembling the documentation required by the customer.
- Maintain accurate filing and archiving of records in line with operating procedures.
- Help Production Team Leaders keep priority work on track and completed on time.
- Contribute to improvement initiatives such as LEAN and 5S activities.
- Provide assistance to other Quality Inspectors when the business requires it.
- Support Operators and Test Technicians as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Required experience and capabilities
- Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, with familiarity with relevant inspection standards such as IPC-A-610.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions or operating procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to prioritise tasks and follow them through to completion.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills, along with the ability to manage time effectively.
