Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment for everyone reporting into the role and contribute to an incident-free project.
  • Set the example for safe working practices and ensure the leadership group does the same.
  • Lead the quality function creatively to improve QA coverage and increase its value to the project.
  • Participate in relevant project meetings.
  • Establish and roll out the required procedures, controls, and site systems.
  • Prepare and issue quality indicators on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate QA metrics to management and project stakeholders, including guidance on areas where improvements can prevent repeat issues.
  • Bring consistency to QA reporting and measurement so the team focuses on the most meaningful indicators.
  • Collect and review feedback to recommend quality enhancements.
  • Make sure all quality systems are available online in a central, easy-to-find location and that users know how to access them.
  • Create test packs.
  • Coordinate with package leads so systems can be tested and handed over before schedule deadlines.
  • Manage performance across team members.
  • Maintain an 8-week rolling view of constraints and constraint removal.
  • Forecast staffing needs and align resourcing plans.
  • Contribute as a key member of the Lean Construction team.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong grasp of how to deliver large, high-quality construction projects end to end.
  • Excellent listening and communication abilities.
  • Ability to support and implement digital construction platforms.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate people and hold them accountable for results.
  • Demonstrated success on comparable projects, with the ability to explain how those outcomes were achieved.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A primary or master’s degree in QA/QC or a related field.
  • Sound strategic planning skills combined with strong tactical execution.
  • Experience working in project-based, cross-functional environments and collaborating across all organisational levels.
  • Relevant IT experience.
