  • Price mechanical and electrical tenders for sustaining sites.
  • Measure and price variations to contract scope.
  • Prepare monthly interim payment applications where required.
  • Issue contractual notices and assess claims related to loss, expense, and acceleration.
  • Produce fast, accurate, competitive, and commercially sound estimates in response to enquiries.
  • Work closely with clients, main contractors, and internal departments.
  • Measure site progress weekly, including productivity and physical quantities where needed.
  • Manage the financial and contractual side of subcontractor accounts.
  • Prepare reliable turnover and cash flow forecasts for each project.
  • Continuously review project cost plans to help ensure target margins and contributions are delivered.
  • Guide and support the QS team, particularly graduates and scholarship programme participants.
  • Identify project trends, analyse them, and report findings.
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow for your assigned package.
  • Help improve and embed stronger commercial working practices.
  • Take on any other tasks connected with the role.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent academic qualification, or relevant industry experience.
  • At least 3 to 4 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying.
  • Solid understanding of contract structures and terms.
  • Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical work packages.
  • Strong numerical ability and comfort working with figures.
  • Professional negotiation skills for dealing with clients.
