Overview

Hyatt Place Al Ula is preparing for its opening, and the property is seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to help establish smooth back-of-house operations. The hotel is an important addition to Hyatt’s regional growth and will include 215 guestrooms, two food and beverage venues, meeting facilities, a swimming pool, and a fitness center, serving both leisure and business guests.

Role Summary

In this position, you will manage the intake of incoming goods and supplies, checking items carefully, recording them correctly, and making sure all receipts align with hotel purchasing rules and stock control standards.

Key Duties

  • Accept deliveries and compare received quantities and item details with purchase orders and delivery paperwork.
  • Examine the condition and quality of incoming goods, and flag any shortages, differences, or damage.
  • Keep receiving logs and related paperwork complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Liaise with suppliers, the Purchasing team, and Store personnel to resolve delivery issues and coordinate incoming stock.
  • Label all items properly and send them to the correct storage locations.
  • Keep the receiving area neat, well-organized, and compliant with cleanliness and safety requirements.
  • Track delivery timelines and follow up on orders that have not yet arrived.
  • Follow hotel procedures for receiving, inventory control, and general operational compliance.
  • Help maintain stock accuracy through careful documentation and timely reporting.
  • Assist with pre-opening receiving activities and ensuring inventory is ready for launch.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have prior exposure to receiving, storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse work, preferably in a hotel setting. You should understand basic receiving and inventory processes, be able to verify documents accurately, and stay organized in a busy environment. Strong attention to detail, clear communication, interpersonal skills, and a solid command of English are essential. A working understanding of purchasing and supply chain flow will be helpful.
