About the Role

Sodexo is looking for a seasoned Regional HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) Manager to lead our operations in Perth, Western Australia. This pivotal position involves directing and enhancing HSEQ initiatives throughout the region, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and promoting ongoing advancements in safety and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development, execution, and upkeep of robust HSEQ management frameworks across the operational region.
  • Guide and develop a team of HSEQ specialists, cultivating an environment that prioritizes safety and environmental accountability.
  • Perform comprehensive risk evaluations and implement effective countermeasures to avert incidents and minimize ecological impact.
  • Guarantee adherence to all pertinent local, state, and federal HSEQ regulations and established industry benchmarks.
  • Design and deliver HSEQ training modules tailored for personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Examine HSEQ data to generate reports for senior leadership, pinpointing patterns and areas ripe for enhancement.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and operational teams to embed HSEQ considerations into every facet of business activities.
  • Oversee incident investigations, implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving HSEQ trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating innovative solutions.
  • Act as the company's representative in dealings with regulatory bodies and industry organizations.

Qualifications

  • Possess a relevant qualification in HSEQ.
  • A minimum of five years of dedicated HSEQ experience, with a demonstrated aptitude for HSE management.
  • Hold recognized certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent Australian credentials.
  • Exhibit a profound understanding of Australian HSEQ legislation and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Show a strong grasp of risk assessment methodologies and the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Possess excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.
  • Exhibit advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams.
  • Display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong aptitude for problem-solving and decisive action.
  • Proficiency in using HSEQ management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to undertake regional travel as necessitated by the role.
