Job description
About the Company
TRADER is a Canadian digital automotive company behind well-known brands such as AutoTrader.ca, AutoSync, Dealertrack Canada, and CMS. Through these platforms, the business helps people across Canada buy, sell, and finance vehicles with greater confidence. The company is also part of the AutoScout24 group, Europe’s largest online car marketplace, and is contributing to the evolution of automotive retail in Canada and other markets.
Role Overview
This position sits within the Collateral Management (CMS) team, which delivers technology-enabled services for lien and registration support, recovery services, and insolvency management for Canadian lenders. The Registry Agent handles client requests across multiple registries in Canada and the USA, making sure service commitments are met and transactions are completed accurately and on time.
Key Duties
The role involves managing search and registration activity within client service-level agreements, handling provincial registrations, entering manual registration data where required, preparing weekly billing, generating invoices, and uploading EFT files for payment processing. The position also requires queue monitoring, transaction processing in priority order, and adherence to established procedures and processing benchmarks.
Billing, Service, and Client Support
The Registry Agent is expected to bill client requests correctly according to fee schedules and government disbursement rules, respond to calls promptly and professionally, and support customers and teammates as needed. The role also calls for identifying issues, escalating concerns when appropriate, and looking for practical ways to improve efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have post-secondary education and bring strong attention to detail, along with the ability to type accurately at 40 words per minute. The role calls for clear written and verbal communication, good multitasking ability, problem-solving skills, research capability, and the discipline to follow instructions closely. Candidates should be comfortable making sound judgments in moderately complex situations and working under pressure in high-volume, deadline-driven conditions.
Technical Knowledge
Useful knowledge for this role includes provincial real property searches, provincial corporate and Bank Act services, and familiarity with relevant provincial websites. Experience with Microsoft Office, website navigation, and working across multiple applications will also help. Customer service experience is considered an advantage, as is prior work in a fast-paced, performance-focused environment.
Ways of Working
The role requires a cooperative, accountable approach to work. The successful candidate should be open to change, ready to take on new responsibilities, committed to service excellence, and willing to support colleagues. Strong time management, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to balance individual responsibilities with team priorities are important.
Benefits
Employees can access gym discounts, an employee and family assistance program, virtual wellness events, conference and training funding, regular internal training programs, financial planning support with 3% pension matching, a competitive salary, and an annual bonus structure.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is CAD 37,000 to CAD 38,000 per year. Final compensation may differ and could be higher depending on relevant skills, experience, location, and market conditions. Total rewards may also include benefits, bonus opportunities, and other employee offerings.
