Role Summary
This position sits in the Retail Sales function and reports to the Channel Head or State Head, depending on the location. There are no direct reportees. The role focuses on raising funds through distribution channels while strengthening relationships across all channels and improving market coverage for Axis Mutual Fund products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships across all assigned channels.
- Make sure every mapped relationship is covered on time so that communication about Axis Mutual Fund, its schemes, and related offerings remains effective.
- Drive sales through creative initiatives, coordinated sales meetings, and regular tracking of mutual fund market developments.
- Create annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly sales plans and organize daily activities to achieve those targets.
- Work to increase market share for Axis Mutual Fund schemes within the assigned channel.
- Handle distributor interactions, walk-in investors, and communication through phone and email as part of sales support.
- Support CMS arrangements with banks, direct lead generation, and promotion of digital services such as WhatsApp, MF Connect, and online NCT services.
- Manage transactions and QRCs related to Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and Alternate Investments (AIF).
Requirements
- Proven contribution to business growth through distribution channels.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel locally and, when needed, to other locations for work.
- Good understanding of products and important business metrics.
- Postgraduate or graduate qualification with 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Mandatory NISM certification.
- Strong understanding and interpretation of financial market data.
- Awareness of the changing mutual fund industry landscape.
- Strong business judgment and commercial acumen.
- Target-driven mindset with a clear focus on results.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively while representing both the business and the team.
