About Mindrift

Mindrift facilitates project-based AI opportunities for specialists, collaborating with leading technology firms to enhance AI systems through testing, evaluation, and improvement. Engagements are structured as projects, not permanent roles.

What This Opportunity Involves

Contributors will engage in a variety of tasks tailored to specific projects. Potential duties include:

  • Creating original optics problems that replicate the workflows of actual physics research.
  • Designing problems that are computationally demanding, making them impractical to solve manually within days or weeks.
  • Developing problems that necessitate complex reasoning chains across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Grounding problems in authentic research challenges or practical applications from optics and physics.
  • Clearly documenting problem statements and providing validated solutions.

What We Look For

This role is suited for physicists interested in part-time, non-permanent project work. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, which can include applied work, research, or teaching.
  • Proficiency in numerical simulation methodologies.
  • The capability to design problems that accurately reflect real-world physics research processes.
  • A creative approach to problem design across various physics domains.
  • Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques.
  • Advanced written English skills (equivalent to C1 or higher).

How It Works

The process involves applying, successfully completing qualifications, joining a project, performing assigned tasks, and receiving payment.

Project Time Expectations

During active project phases, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only when a project is ongoing.

Compensation

For this specific project, participants have the potential to earn up to the equivalent of $35 per hour, based on their skill level and contribution speed. Compensation levels can differ across various projects on the platform, reflecting variations in scope, complexity, and required expertise.

Additional Information

Please submit your CV in English and indicate your level of English proficiency.

Leave it if you'd like a reply — we won't use it for anything else.
