Job description
Role overview
A pharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Research Scientist to join its Single B Cell Antibody Discovery group. The position supports work on advanced immune cell engager therapies and sits at the meeting point of immunology, molecular biology, and computational antibody discovery.
The role is focused on identifying and refining antibody candidates with the potential to progress into future medicines.
Key duties
- Use single B cell antibody discovery platforms to identify antibody variable domains.
- Contribute to immune cell engager programmes by generating high-quality antibody outputs.
- Carry out molecular biology procedures such as PCR, library preparation, and handling NGS samples.
- Analyse and characterise antibodies using ELISA, flow cytometry, and BLI.
- Work closely with cross-functional project teams to keep programmes advancing.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will bring a PhD or comparable industry background in antibody-focused research. Practical experience with antibody discovery and generation through single B cell methods, display technologies, or similar approaches is important.
Hands-on wet lab experience in cell culture and in vitro assay work is also expected. Knowledge of sequence analysis, NGS workflows, or single B cell technologies would be an advantage.
Contract details
This position is an initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of being extended.
