Role Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the restaurant. The role calls for someone who can lift the guest experience to an exceptional level, guide team development through coaching and training, oversee inventory, and manage the restaurant’s financial performance. You will carry full responsibility for quality standards, process compliance, and business results.
Key Experience Needed
The business values experience in different forms, but specifically looks for candidates who have led teams in busy, high-volume hospitality settings, delivered outstanding customer service, communicated effectively, and previously improved profitability while working toward KPIs.
Detailed Requirements
This role is suited to someone with a strong background in supervision or management in retail, restaurant, or hospitality environments. A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a supervisory or management capacity is expected. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with restaurant financial management, including P&L oversight, and should have solid people leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
You should either already have, or be willing to complete, a Food Safety Supervisor Course and a Responsible Service of Alcohol course. Strong spoken and written English, the ability to interpret operating and financial reports, food safety knowledge, the ability to carry out cooking and food preparation tasks personally, and a willingness to work one shift per month in a kitchen leadership position are also part of the role. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, are required.
Benefits
Working at GYG comes with a range of advantages, including opportunities for career progression in Australia and overseas, attendance at an annual Restaurant Managers Summit, the possibility of moving into franchise ownership, a quarterly bonus program, and a free uniform.
Additional Information
