About the role
SSP Canada runs a number of dining and retail outlets at Kelowna International Airport, including White Spot, Tim Hortons, Subway, and several retail concepts. This opening is for a Shift Supervisor in a secure airport setting, where strong guest service, team support, and consistent brand standards are central to the job.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will be an entry point into management and will help make sure the team delivers the company’s service expectations and “Passion Principles” every day.
Compensation and benefits
- Pay range: $22.50 to $26.50 per hour
- Full-time schedule required

Responsibilities
- Work with the management team to make sure service standards are consistently met by the team.
- Keep the guest experience as the top priority at all times.
- Ensure restaurant brand standards are followed and that daily checklists and cleaning schedules are completed.
- Guide new team members during orientation and act as a training partner to help them understand procedures and standards.
- Explain job duties, priorities, and expectations clearly to team members.
- Offer direction, encouragement, and hands-on support so the team can meet business objectives.
- Set performance expectations, observe staff performance, discuss progress, and document both positive and negative performance issues.
- Help staff build the skills needed to improve their performance.
- Oversee cash-related responsibilities and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 12 months of experience in a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Cash-handling experience is required.
- Serving It Right certification is required.
- Liquor service experience and related knowledge are required.
- Strong people skills with the ability to engage, support, and motivate teammates.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate instructions clearly and directly.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced food service setting.
Eligibility and clearance
This position is based in a secure airport area and requires a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). Applicants must be legally permitted to work in Canada and must be able to provide government-issued documents needed for airport security clearance. These documents will be reviewed during onboarding in line with Transport Canada regulations.
