Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Haora for a Safety Professional. The person in this role will manage day-to-day Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities across solar manufacturing operations and ensure adherence to applicable regulations, standards, and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The role focuses on maintaining a safe workplace, reducing operational risk, and strengthening the safety culture across the facility.

  • Carry out regular safety checks and audits to identify unsafe conditions and areas for improvement.
  • Spot workplace hazards and recommend practical corrective and preventive actions.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver safety awareness and training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Encourage safe working habits and help build a strong, proactive safety culture.
  • Lead or assist in accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
  • Keep safety documentation, reports, and records accurate and up to date.
  • Support risk assessments and job safety analyses for operational activities.
  • Work with teams across functions to improve occupational health and safety performance continuously.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a solid grounding in workplace health and safety and experience supporting EHS programs in industrial settings.

  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and Occupational Health, including the ability to implement and track safety programs.
  • Experience in EHS compliance, risk evaluation, and preparation of safety-related records and documents.
  • Capability to design and conduct safety training and engage employees effectively.
  • Practical exposure to accident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline; certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA will be an added advantage.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or other industrial environments, preferably in energy, solar, or heavy industry.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation abilities, along with comfort using standard office tools and EHS software.
  • Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence safe behavior and collaborate well across teams.
