Role overview
This is a site-based quality role supporting the plant Quality Manager. The position focuses on making sure incoming raw materials and packaging materials meet acceptance standards, finished goods satisfy quality and food safety expectations, and laboratory inventory remains adequately stocked to avoid shortages.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials and packaging materials arriving at the plant to confirm they comply with FLI quality requirements.
- Track RM/PM testing activities, flag service-provider non-compliance, and communicate corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain clear, accurate reports for all relevant stakeholders.
- Carry out routine audits of RM/PM storage areas, including storage conditions, FIFO/FEFO adherence, and allergen controls.
- Support consistent execution of food safety policies across the site.
- Verify that incoming RM/PM materials meet FLI standards during receiving and store-level quality checks.
- Help implement quality control systems and supplier/vendor standards.
- Ensure GMP and GHK practices are followed, including the master cleaning schedule, lab safety, and GLP requirements.
- Support ASHA compliance and contribute to internal and external audits such as HACCP, AIB, personal hygiene, and process audits.
- Communicate deviations and root-cause findings to vendors and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Record and manage KC 13-related RM/PM documentation and keep it fully compliant.
- Coordinate monthly AA samples.
- Train RM/PM store teams, 13pl staff, and lab personnel on technical, quality, and food safety requirements.
- Compile GSM data, exception reports, and RM/PM quality reports.
- Ensure lab equipment and online measuring devices are calibrated on time.
- Perform personnel hygiene checks across the plant and drive improvements.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or B.Tech. in Food Technology.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, specifically in RM/PM checking.
- Working knowledge of RM/PM testing, food safety systems, QA systems, and GMP practices.
- Strong analytical ability and sound interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, high integrity, and the ability to build trust and influence others.
- Comfortable working under pressure and coordinating with multiple teams.
