Job description

Role overview

This is an opportunity to join a global semiconductor business backed by a US multinational. The position is based in the East and runs on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of renewal or conversion depending on performance and business needs. Compensation can go up to SGD 5,000 per month, subject to experience.

What the role involves

  • Oversee production, inventory, process, and control tasks while keeping records accurate and reliable.
  • Maintain SAP work order release timelines so materials are available on time for manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Carry out pre-shortage checks and variance reviews to strengthen material readiness and close planning gaps.
  • Review execution progress, balance supply against demand, and verify planning and scheduling information.
  • Handle Engineering Change Orders and prepare updates on status and business impact.
  • Work closely with Finance and Operations on floor audits, issue resolution, and production discussions.
  • Study inventory consumption and stock positions to address shortages, excess stock, obsolescence, and forecasting requirements.
  • Use data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, and turn findings into practical insights with Python, SQL, or similar tools.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for someone with a minimum diploma in a relevant discipline. A background of at least 2 years in production planning is useful, though not mandatory. Strong time management and the ability to deliver within deadlines are important. SAP knowledge will be an advantage.
