Role overview
You will manage a varied client portfolio across industries such as agribusiness, manufacturing, transport, and professional services. The position includes exposure to complex business structures, commercial matters, and strategic advisory assignments, rather than only year-end compliance tasks.
Key duties
- Take ownership of a client portfolio and act as a reliable point of contact and advisor.
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for clients with more complex structures.
- Work with clients on tax planning, structuring, and broader business strategy.
- Contribute to business transactions, succession planning, and growth initiatives.
- Support, review, and mentor junior team members to help develop your leadership skills.
- Handle more technical tax issues and liaise with the ATO and other relevant stakeholders.
What you bring
- CA or CPA qualification, or very near completion.
- At least 3 years of experience in public practice.
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and the ability to apply that knowledge commercially.
- Confidence in dealing directly with clients and developing trusted relationships.
- A genuine interest in advisory work, not just compliance processing.
- Self-motivation, accountability, and a desire to take the next step in your career.
