Role overview
This position focuses on creating, running, and refining the full induction and onboarding journey for new employees. The goal is to help new joiners feel supported, understand the organization quickly, and become productive from their first day, while keeping the process aligned with company values and compliance needs.
Work setup and joining details
- Designation: Induction Specialist
- Location: Mumbai-Airoli, Navi Mumbai
- Shift: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Working pattern: 5-day week, Monday to Friday, work from office
- Notice period expectation: Immediate joiners up to 15 days
Core responsibilities
- Build and manage complete onboarding programs for different employee groups such as campus recruits, lateral hires, and leadership hires.
- Handle the planning and coordination needed for induction sessions, including schedules, content, presenters, and supporting technology.
- Keep onboarding materials and sessions aligned with company principles, policies, and business objectives.
- Work closely with HR business partners, hiring managers, IT, and facilities teams to deliver a smooth start for new employees.
- Serve as a key contact for new hires throughout the onboarding period.
- Gather input from employees and internal stakeholders to spot process gaps and improve the induction experience.
- Track onboarding performance measures such as time to productivity, engagement, and retention outcomes.
- Make sure all onboarding activities follow internal rules as well as applicable external compliance requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate onboarding records and documentation.
- Use HR technology and onboarding tools to streamline tasks and improve the user experience.
- Support virtual and digitally enabled induction programs.
Required qualifications and skills
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in HR, ideally in onboarding or employee experience roles.
- Strong planning, coordination, and project execution capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal ability.
- Working knowledge of HRIS and onboarding platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Darwinbox.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
