Moss is a Berlin-based SaaS scale-up focused on helping finance teams automate routine work and make smarter, forward-looking decisions. The company is built around impact, growth, and continuous learning, and has been recognised by Sifted’s Rising 100 and LinkedIn’s Top Startups. Moss operates across five European offices with a team of 300+ people from 50+ nationalities, and supports more than 5,000 businesses in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK with spend management tools such as corporate cards, accounts payable, employee cash reimbursements, and procurement.
The business has raised €180 million in total funding and is supported by investors including Valar Ventures, Tiger Global, Global Founders Capital, Cherry Ventures, and A-Star.
Role overview
In this senior design role, you will work within a collaborative, design-led team to shape how the Moss brand appears across many touchpoints. The position combines strategic thinking with strong hands-on execution, requiring you to create work that is both visually polished and effective in a fast-moving environment where quality and speed must go together.
What you will do
- Translate complex product ideas into clear, engaging, and conversion-focused social assets and paid campaign creative.
- Set a high standard for typography, layout, composition, and overall digital craft.
- Develop concept-led work that strengthens brand storytelling across multiple channels.
- Partner closely with marketing, product, and outside collaborators to deliver integrated 360° campaigns.
- Improve and extend design systems in Figma so outputs stay consistent and easy to scale.
- Produce motion content and subtle interactive elements using tools such as After Effects, Jitter, or Rive.
- Use AI tools throughout ideation and production to improve efficiency while keeping creative quality intact.
What you need
- At least 7 years of experience gained in-house, in studios, or in agencies.
- A strong portfolio showing high-quality brand work, including rebrands and large campaign systems.
- Advanced Figma skills, including Auto Layout, components, and design-system thinking.
- A solid base in motion design, with interest in continuing to grow in this area.
- Strong understanding of the AI landscape and the ability to distinguish practical value from hype.
- Experience building scalable AI workflows such as prompt libraries, custom GPTs, or production systems is considered a plus.
- A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to manage several projects at once under tight deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and confidence presenting ideas with strong reasoning.
- A balance of speed and precision, with the ability to deliver excellent work quickly.
- Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, or similar across research, ideation, and production.
Attributes Moss is looking for
- You think conceptually and bring fresh ideas rather than only executing briefs.
- You pay close attention to detail and treat typography, layout, and composition as essential parts of the work.
- You take responsibility, identify patterns early, and move projects forward proactively.
- You can explain and defend your design choices clearly to different stakeholders.
- You are able to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
- You use AI as a tool to enhance creativity, while still relying on human judgement where it matters.
Perks and benefits
- Compensation is positioned at the top end of the market and includes equity.
- The company places strong value on in-person collaboration, supported by lively offices, weekly breakfasts, and Friday demos.
- Full-time employees receive additional benefits such as 20 days to work from abroad and a €600/£600 Learning & Development budget, along with other local perks.
