Job description
Role overview
This position is for an experienced Business Analyst to support delivery across Regulatory Capital and Operating Cost workstreams spanning EMEA, AEJ, and US regions. The role sits alongside the Project Manager and involves close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to keep milestones on track, ensure outputs meet quality expectations, and deliver within agreed timelines and budget limits.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders to stay aligned with project objectives while giving hands-on support to the Project Manager and wider team.
- Monitor activities, milestones, and business results through RAG reporting, and raise risks early so they can be addressed in time.
- Follow up with cross-functional teams based on requirements and deadlines to help maintain steady project progress.
- Prepare and share regular progress updates for stakeholders, covering achievements, risks, issues, and recommended next steps.
- As required, create and keep committee packs and other project documents up to date, with clear and accurate content.
- Draft and maintain Business Requirements Documents and help drive requirement-gathering discussions.
- Join requirement prioritisation sessions and IT release/scrum meetings, understand key needs, and contribute feedback where needed.
- Use a strong business analysis approach to question assumptions and challenge inputs from developers and other analysts to ensure business fit and feasibility.
Experience and knowledge
The role calls for a professional with at least 6 years of hands-on project delivery experience at Business Analyst level, ideally within Capital Markets projects covering Risk, Capital, or Liquidity. Exposure to Recovery and Resolution Planning is preferred. The candidate should also have solid experience creating BRDs and other project documentation, coordinating across teams, supporting project managers, and managing stakeholders.
Working style and tools
You should bring strong analytical and problem-solving ability, work confidently on your own, and stay effective under pressure while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication, organisation, prioritisation, and documentation skills are essential. Experience with committee packs, UAT planning, and stakeholder progress reporting is expected. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is required, while familiarity with Power BI, Alteryx or similar tools, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Project would be an advantage.
