Role Overview
This position is for a senior engineer based in Bengaluru, India, working from the customer location in Bangalore for three days each week. The role is centered on supply chain technology, with emphasis on solution design, system architecture, and hands-on delivery in a high-scale environment.
What You Will Do
- Take a senior engineering role within the supply chain domain and help shape the technical architecture that connects different supply chain systems.
- Contribute to a multi-year technology initiative for supply chain capabilities.
- Design, build, improve, and maintain interfaces and integrations that are scalable, reliable, and ready for future growth.
- Lead technical discussions across the platform and help drive clear, well-documented decisions.
- Participate in architectural problem-solving as well as practical software development from concept through design, execution, and delivery.
- Focus on production readiness through testing, monitoring, deployment, documentation, and proactive issue resolution.
- Spot risks or gaps in the technical approach and recommend solutions aligned to the department’s technical direction.
- Help influence the broader strategy and roadmap for the team or department.
- Mentor other engineers through collaboration, pairing, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
- Act as a credible and collaborative subject matter expert for the wider team.
Technical Focus
- Strong practical knowledge of Java-based technologies, with the flexibility to work across technologies based on product and business needs.
- Experience solutioning supply chain systems using established WMS platforms or similar market products and protocols.
- Hands-on work with WMS systems.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, especially GCP, with experience at scale on AWS or Azure.
- Experience with distributed microservice architectures and clearly defined domain boundaries.
- Experience with high-volume asynchronous messaging systems.
- Working knowledge of large-scale relational and NoSQL data stores.
- Familiarity with modern open-source tools and frameworks such as Kafka, Kubernetes, containerization, Java microservices, GraphQL, and Spring.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in engineering.
- A mix of startup and large-company experience is preferred.
- Strong supply chain domain expertise, especially in solutioning around Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or other widely used WMS products.
- Ability to influence build-versus-buy decisions for supply chain modules.
- Proven experience driving software transformation in fast-growing, large-scale environments.
- Exposure to cloud-based, event-driven, and large-scale systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
- Java, Kafka, microservices, Spring Boot, and system design knowledge are expected.
- Preferred qualification: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Work Arrangement
Mandatory on-site presence at the Bangalore customer location for 3 days per week.
