Senior Engineer - Vendor Development (Engine)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Vendor Development for Engine components. This role is crucial for sourcing new proprietary parts for Engine, Vehicle, and Exhaust Treatment Components. The ideal candidate will identify and develop vendors capable of meeting specifications, achieving optimal costs, and adhering to tight timelines. A strong understanding of casting, forging, machining processes, and proprietary commodities related to engine parts is essential. You will be responsible for determining component costs and driving efforts to meet target costs.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new proprietary parts for Engine, Vehicle, and Exhaust Treatment Components from vendors, ensuring adherence to specifications, optimal cost, and minimal lead time.
• Apply in-depth process knowledge of casting, forging, machining, and proprietary commodities relevant to engine part development and commercial settlements.
• Analyze and determine component costing, actively working towards achieving target cost objectives.
