Summary
The Senior Relationship Manager is a vital role within the Corporate & Commercial Finance division, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of significant corporate clients. This position focuses on cultivating new strategic partnerships, driving revenue expansion, and ensuring robust risk management practices. The incumbent will serve as a primary advisor to clients, delivering bespoke financial solutions that align with Finance House's strategic goals and regulatory mandates.
Major Responsibilities
- Manage and expand a dedicated portfolio of corporate and commercial clients.
- Cultivate enduring, trusted client relationships through proactive engagement and advisory services.
- Conduct regular client meetings to ascertain evolving business requirements and propose suitable financial solutions.
- Enhance client satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and guidance.
- Achieve assigned business objectives, including revenue targets, portfolio growth, and profitability.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on new business prospects within target industries or sectors.
- Promote and cross-sell a comprehensive suite of products, including lending, deposits, trade finance, retail offerings, and insurance.
- Maximize client wallet share and deepen relationships through strategic sales efforts.
- Perform detailed credit assessments and financial analyses for both new and existing clients.
- Prepare and present credit proposals in adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential risks for mitigation.
- Ensure timely completion of credit reviews and maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Credit, Risk, Treasury, Legal, and Operations for seamless client service.
- Lead discussions on deal structuring, pricing, and credit solutions with product and credit support teams.
- Mentor and guide junior relationship managers or support staff as needed.
- Ensure clear communication of service standards and client needs to internal teams.
- Maintain current knowledge of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Provide client and market insights to leadership to support strategic planning.
- Represent Finance House at industry events and client functions to boost visibility and networking.
- Keep clients informed about Finance House's offerings, market shifts, and compliance requirements.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Proficiency
- In-depth understanding of corporate banking products, loan structuring, and financial instruments.
- Proficiency in credit analysis, documentation, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., KYC, FATCA, AECB).
- Strong grasp of banking laws and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CA) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the financial services sector.
- At least 6 years in banking, with a minimum of 3 years focused on corporate or commercial lending and client relationship management.
