About the Role

As a Shift Supervisor, you will take charge of the team during your shift and keep restaurant operations running smoothly each day. This is a practical leadership role suited to someone who is confident, thrives in a busy setting, and enjoys improving performance through people.

Key Duties

• Direct and organise the team throughout your shift.
• Observe team performance and provide guidance, coaching and feedback.
• Make sure food quality, customer service, safety and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times.
• Respond to customer questions and handle concerns in a professional way.
• Assist with opening and closing tasks when needed.
• Keep an eye on stock levels and help with basic stock control.
• Support cash handling, point-of-sale processes and simple reconciliations.
• Follow food safety rules, workplace health and safety requirements, and internal company policies.
• Keep management informed about how the shift is progressing.

Experience and Skills

• Prior supervisory experience in hospitality, quick service restaurants or retail.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Confidence in training, coaching and motivating team members.
• Good knowledge of food safety, customer service and day-to-day operational standards.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing priorities.
